Fleet Engineer
CurrentAs a Fleet Engineer, my current responsibilities include:Deliver assigned projects, ensuring compliance with applicable legislative and Industry Group Standards.Manage relationships between the business and key stakeholders, including Transport Scotland, ROSCO’s and internal business departments.Write concise scopes of work to commission 3rd party suppliers, evaluate proposals and negotiate commercial agreements.Produce statistics and KPIs on fleets (i.e. reliability, technical casualties (MTIN), delay minutes, and repeat defects). Report on arising failures and document recovery plans.Produce Engineering Change packs in compliance with ScotRail procedures and creating risk assessments to support the change.Understand, review and recommend solutions for faults and incidents captured through day-to-day running & maintenance activities.Undertake and manage joint investigations with appropriate parties in relation to the fleets as required.Write business cases for performance and reliability improvements and changes to rolling stock.Represent ScotRail on any cross-industry fleet initiatives or projects (i.e. User Groups).Collaborate with the Engineering Standards team to resolve any arising safety technical issues.
