I'm a partner in the Washington DC office of Hudson Cook, LLP. I advise banks, sales finance companies, and other creditors and technology providers on a wide range of consumer financial services law, and provides federal legislative and regulatory advice and support to trade associations involved in vehicle finance. My practice covers compliance with federal and state laws pertaining to consumer credit, electronic commerce, privacy, telemarketing, personal and real property financing, and leasing and collection practices. I'm a frequent speaker and author on a variety of consumer financial services law topics. My articles have appeared in the American Bar Association’s Business Law Journal and the Mortgage Banker Magazine, among others, and I write a monthly column for Auto Finance News and F&I Showroom magazine. I've spoken at the Royal Media Auto Finance Summit, the American Financial Services Association (AFSA) Vehicle Finance Conference, and the National Automobile Dealers Association Annual Conference, the Consumer Banker's Association's CBA Live! Conference, the American Bar Association, and many other national programs. I am a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Business Law, and participate on its Consumer Financial Services Committee as the Chair of the Personal Property Finance Subcommittee. I am a member of AFSA's State Government Relations committee, as well as counsel to the AFSA Law Committee’s Vehicle Finance Subcommittee.
