I have completed a Bachelor of Urban Development majoring in Construction Management and a minor in Engineering in 2018. Prior to completing my Construction Management degree at QUT, I spent the first decade of my career working in the IT industry, where I was involved with business management, client relations, logistics, server administration, and website development. With numerous responsibilities, it taught me a valuable lesson in time management which has helped me balance my university studies and work. The motivation behind my career change is to make a positive impact on the community and the desire to be apart of a project team that delivers new or manages existing civil infrastructure works. This was prompted by a visit to Tokyo, Japan in 2008 where I witnessed how the engineering solutions of the Tokyo Metro Subway and Shinkansen had changed Tokyo and Japan for the better. Now that I have graduated I am looking to further my capabilities in Project Management by completing a Masters in Project Management in the near future. My special interests include public transport infrastructure, traffic management, infrastructure finance models, and improving the project lifecycle of major civil infrastructure.l am always interested in hearing from former colleagues, managers, or people that share similar career paths, so feel free to contact me if you’d like to connect.
