I provided independent strategic communication and consultation for retail, advertising agency, and small business clients. I crafted copy for product packaging, strategic brand statements, internal communication pieces, and graphic prints for apparel products.

I turned private labels into brands; concise positioning statements became blueprints for designers and merchants. I gathered and presented proprietary customer profile information for internal audiences throughout the company. I managed, coached, and advocated for a team of four Project Managers.

I directed all consumer and stakeholder communication efforts (advertising, public relations, rebranding efforts, stakeholder outreach, internal communications, marketing research, sponsorships, promotions, and product development). I was a department head and a member of the executive team. From 1999-2008 sales grew by 13% and profits by 24% in a highly regulated market. Starting as a coordinator in the creative department, I quickly moved into brand development. I introduced new marketing initiatives to internal audiences and retail customers. I managed the in-store launch of the Starbucks Foundation and the Oprah’s Book Club program.
