Focused primarily on the procurement of patents in the fields of software and electronics, particularly amendment practice and application drafting. I have prosecuted patents for large corporations based in the United States, Finland, Japan, Korea and Germany, procuring patents in numerous computer science and electrical engineering fields including various software technologies, mobile telecommunications, optics and circuit fabrication.

Focused on prosecuting patents for large Japanese and German clients, primarily amendment practice. Provided litigation support for a major microchip manufacturer in a large patent infringement case. Conducted numerous Examiner Interviews and prepared Appeal Briefs for the Board of Patent Appeals and Interferences.

Sought to deliver and implement litigation risk analysis software. Architected proof-of-concept of a litigation management solution applying decision analysis to trial scenarios. Established and managed corporate and private practice legal contacts.

Drafted patent applications, patentability opinions, responses to office actions, claim charts and letters of infringement for large corporations local to Cincinnati, OH.

Developed enterprise Java solutions, primarily HIPAA compliance and insurance software at Anthem Blue Cross in Cincinnati, OH. Developed custom extensions to the Anthem Blue Cross Erisco Facets suite. Integrated HIPAA logic preserving patient privacy in client-side application.

Implemented enterprise Java solutions, primarily single sign-on and business logic software at Relizon, Inc. in Dayton, OH.

Developed components and code for device ports for an embedded operating system modeled after the Java class structure. Wrote core operating system classes. Converted core product into EJB on BEA Weblogic. Created embedded web server for Intel CPCI710 platform on a development board.

Architected J2EE/JSP solutions in the supplier-side implementation of Ariba Marketplace at McKessonHBOC. Served as lead developer for supplier-side implementation of Ariba Marketplace v7.5.1 at Ariba (Tampa). Assisted with development and launch of Ariba Marketplace at MetalSpectrum.

Oversaw technical aspects of the planning and development of a business-to-business marketplace for the smart card industry. Headed technical initiatives, architected design of digital marketplace, and established industry contacts. Developed business case to create Flash component to GE’s 6-Sigma training program.
