I began my career working for Sundance Institute’s Feature Film and Theatre Programs where I helped develop independent artists and their projects including Miranda July's, “Me and You and Everyone We Know”; Doug Wright's, “Grey Gardens”, and Stew's, “Passing Strange”.After attending UCLA’s School of Film and Television’s graduate directing program I returned to Sundance as their content producer to direct an eight episode documentary web series about their prestigious labs for Honda and YouTube. I was also integral to the inception and direction of the film festival's inaugural livestream coverage, and continue to produce and direct their festival video content to this day.I have written and directed award winning short films and other video projects that have aired on MTVu, Logo, and the Sundance Channel, and screened in film festivals world wide. I collaborated with DJ ShyBoy to conceive and direct two music videos for his debut album “Water on Mars”. Most recently, my video work screened as part of the Los Angeles Public Library’s exhibit, “To Live and Dine in L.A.” highlighting food culture and issues of food justice in and around L.A.I am currently an Assistant Professor of Cinematic Practice at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts’ where I teach courses in filmmaking and docu-narrative performance installation. I have also taught acting, directing, improv and media-based classes at schools and universities both in the U.S and abroad.
