About Michael Christianson

After designing for various companies for eight years out of collage, I started my own design company, OrangeBox Studio, LLC and have never looked back. I’m going on over 14 years of proudly running OrangeBox Studio, LLC and with that body of design experience that totals 22 years, I can solve any design challange that is asked of me. My tagline slogan truly embodies my business philosphy. I am “your personal design solution” This personal approach means I’m always available for your design needs. My communication is top notch, I will never leave you hanging on an email or voice call and I take great pride in meeting any deadline that is asked of me and in 22 years I have never missed a marketing deadline. I believe that your only as good as your last project, so I take every project small or large as if it’s my last one, putting in 100% of my creative thought process and design execution. The only marketing I have ever done for OrangeBox Studio, LLC is through word of mouth and that is truly the best marketing a company can rely on. I take as much pride in understanding the print side of the business as I do the creative marketing side assuring that the design you sign off on digitally looks just as good when printed.     Graphic Design for the quarterly magazine "The Industry Standard". The magazine covered the dot.com B to B markets during the peak of the dot.com era. The Industry Standard quarterly magazine page count was much larger then most monthly magazines. This thick magazine was driven by the ferocious appetite of the Dot.com era and by the explosion of the Silicon Valley, a time when buying domain names was like buying real estate. My design responsibilities where to create fresh design ideas for each of the stories within my section of the magazine. I also reviewed and hired various illustrators from around the US to create illustrations that supported the stories for certain articles. With my illustration background, I often created illustrations for the magazines articles as well.

My design responsibilities where to create fresh design ideas for wall and desk calendars. One of my favorite subjects for the calendars was designing for ESPN and the ESPN X Games. When the Novato location closed down, I had the opportunity to re-locate and work for their sports division in Seattle Washington. I just moved from the rainy state of Oregon and so declined the offer – I got spoiled with sunny California.
