About Michael Barton

I work in the Federal Reserve System building reports to help manage our ITIL processes. It is an exciting time as we move towards machine learning and big data, though my focus is on Incident , Change, Problem and Release Management reporting. When I started, we had twelve IT service desks and a very immature reporting practice. Within a few months I was able to fully automate weekly and monthly performance reporting from Remedy AR System using .NET which was a contributing factor in our local team being awarded the leadership role for the Federal Reserve's National Service Desk. Since that time, my portfolio has grown and I provide automated reporting to service providers across the Federal Reserve System. My abilities to automate reports with VB.NET and Excel prompted the installation of Business Objects and Tableau, which I now use extensively.
