This role, based in the Communications team at Telstra, has responsibility for the management and strategic direction for Telstra’s branded social media channels. The role works with stakeholders from across the business to ensure that strategic brand messages are disseminated through owned and earned social and digital channels.This role also has responsibility for Telstra’s largest brand content marketing hub, Telstra Exchange, and Telstra’s Influencer program. I manage one of Australia's largest social media community management teams. We look after hundreds of Australian businesses on social media. My team also creates the strategy for and manages Sensis' consumer social media presences for Yellow Pages, Whereis, Truelocal and White Pages.

At Sensis I managed one of Australia's largest teams of community managers looking after more businesses on social media than anyone else in the country. I had responsibility for the end-to-end management of social media marketing products for small to medium businesses. The role also oversaw Sensis’ brand social media channels and content marketing activities.

The Digital Content and Social Media role was responsible for the strategic direction and execution of product development and content for Southern Cross Austero’s 82 websites and over 140 social media channels. These platforms covered 72 regional and 10 metro radio stations and 12 regional TV channels. The role had a constant focus on digital product development and commercialisation, and led 17 digital content producers and a social media strategist.In my time at SCA I helped grow mobile and web traffic by 98% and SCA’s social audience from almost nothing to over 3.1 million Facebook likes and 1.4 million Twitter followers.
