Managed the day to day operations for a retail distribution center. Managed 5-8 supervisors daily, with responsibility for production, safety and quality of the 150+ associates working for these supervisors.Created daily staffing plans based on business needs.

Responsible for determining daily staffing plans, planned hours, and trucking schedules, in order to maximize productivity and minimize cost for three Regional sort facilities.Trained the workforce on Lean Manufacturing concepts, which lead to $1.2 million in year over year, bottom line productivity improvements.Provided instrumental leadership in the identification of new material handling needs, and the procurement of new equipment, to increase the planned throughput and improve overall productivity. Quality Assurance Manager 2003 – 2004Responsibilities included Operations and Quality manual maintenance.Developed work procedures and practices that were in alignment with maintaining our ISO 9001 company certificate. Integrated work procedures from the two companies that came together to form one new company, with over $3 billion in revenue. Facilitated the development and administration of the highly successful management incentive program.

Managed a workforce that included couriers, supervisors and administrators, to five consecutive years of PNL improvement. Recognized by the corporate office for developing a new training program which was based on self training in my first year of service. Improved the Detroit Metro Area PNL ranking from 54th to second in my first 12 months of service as District Manager in Detroit. Mentored subordinates and was able to promote from within due to this development.

Responsible for the PNL results for three Pickup and Delivery operations in Detroit, Pittsburgh and Cleveland. Increased profitability by 9% year over year, for three years. Participated in weekly sales calls with Chrysler, Ford and General Motors to ensure that our service was meeting their needs.Named District of the quarter three times in 1997 for providing exceptional service and quality to our customers.
