Chair of the Council's Awards Committee. The Committee promotes the various Adult awards where the recipient must be nominated by others. We accept and process the nominations and award those that are selected at the Council annual Awards reception in March.

Organize and manage the committee to prepare and send a Contingent of 90 people to the 2023 National Jamboree.

Implemented monthly Change Control Boards and environment of task based project planning.• Created a solution to merge two distinct employee weekly time databases allowing the software team in the parent company to migrate to the much more friendly and useful JIRA environment and allow management to access the legacy system with current data. • Implemented Change Request Board. Educated management and team in the value of disciplined analysis of product change requests and chaired monthly Change Request Boards. Changes were not approved without consensus on impact to current project timelines and return on investment.• Implemented automatic QA testing by designing and implementing QA test frameworks for two web based applications. Freed up developers from manual testing and improved test coverage.

Managed 24/7 DIAMOND world wide manufacturing data warehouse operations and worldwide team of 14 sustainers of Teradata DB ETL using Unix scripts, PERL and IBM DataStage. Team kept four hour Service Level Agreements for three years. Led team to deliver monthly SW kit builds, releases/patches, release notes, processes and process improvement. Managed team in SW development, build, deployment processes and process improvement• Designed, developed and deployed set of data warehouse and ETL monitors without support of additional servers. Monitors implemented functionality to enable detection of issues before they became critical and avoided all capital expenditures and additional expenses on the departmental P&L.• Implemented rigorous Release kit build processes. Worked with developers to create process for the release kit builds, release notes and methods to validate that noted changes were in the release. Errors in adding changes to the release kit dropped and probability of functional kits increased.• Built Operations Support Team. Educated team in proper sustaining and support practices and procedures. Team life work balance went up, errors in problem resolution went down and time to acknowledge and resolve issues were met within SLAs for three years.

Directed 24/7 operation and updates to DataPower worldwide manufacturing database and data ETL. Developed the ETL job control scheduler/controller. Managed 3 person team in operations of the DataPower database ETL using Unix ksh / PERL and all SW kit builds (using CVS), releases, release notes and release processes. Mentored 6-person development team in software development, build and deployment processes and process improvement.• Engineered the framework to support ETL pipelines for multiple data warehouses and multiple ETL release levels. Framework allowed the administration team to minimize the downtime for a particular data warehouse during patch deployments and allowed the environment to support multiple versions of the underlying databases and ETL.

Managed design, development and deployment the EFARS system. Managed all phases of project: requirements gathering, project planning and management. Managed 4-person international team through system design, implementation and deployment.

Obtained funding, installed and customized the FTDB system. Managed 24/7 operations team for data feeds and loading and all SW kit builds/deployments. Responsible for training/development of the operations team and SW development practices.• Envisioned and implemented an application to merge STDF files. Created all code and documentation and deployed to production. Application allowed engineers to merge data from multiple data sets representing broken semiconductor wafers and split final test lots.

Managed new semiconductor chip project. Led 22-person international team to define, design, produce, test and deliver an advanced telephony integrated circuit device. Led team in developing project development plans and obtaining project approval. Managed team’s process to plan and modify plan as technical specs and resources changed. Trained team in project definition and management techniques, including proper requirements documentation, planning, tracking, configuration management and peer reviews.• Introduced project management processes and lead cross-functional team of RISC programmers and semiconductor chip designers. Chip designers had never seen proper test based project management and looked forward to repeating the process.

Improved the division’s Software Engineering techniques and quality. Led teams to document and improve SW processes. Trained the division’s software community in the SEI CMM and SW Engineering topics. • Led division through preparation for Software Engineering Institute’s (SEI) Capability Maturity Model (CMM) assessment, moving the division from a Level 1 to Level 3 score in 18 months.
