As an Assistant Teaching Professor of Entrepreneurship in the College of Business Administration, my primary responsibility was to develop and teach five unique undergraduate entrepreneurship courses over eight semesters, resulting in relevant, high quality instruction for more than 600 students. Other achievements included:- Supporting strategic design and day-to-day operation of the UMSL Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Accelerator, a first-of-its-kind, university-led business accelerator that provided underrepresented founders with $50,000 each in non-dilutive capital each as well as a best-in-class business development program that included access to networks, mentors, subject matter experts, and customized educational support. - Mobilizing 135 volunteers (i.e. guest speakers, mentors, and competition judges) to assist with entrepreneurship instruction and programming.- Leading the search, vetting, and selection of three adjunct faculty and assisting with the search, vetting, and selection of one tenure-track faculty for the Department of Marketing & Entrepreneurship.- Leading a top-to-bottom review of entrepreneurship curriculum at UMSL, mapping learning outcomes and depth of instruction (i.e. introduction to mastery) for each entrepreneurship course as part of the UMSL Curriculum Alignment Process (CAP) and as part of a successful AACSB accreditation of the College of Business Administration (CoBA).
