Maxon entered Honeywell as a part of what was then known as Environmental, Combustion, and Controls (ECC). The first task was integration of the Maxon business into Honeywell. I worked all aspects of the project to convert and migrate networks and applications according to the plan. Towards the conclusion of the M&A process, I was named Global IT Manager for the Maxon business with direct report in Europe and Asia. As a part of the ECC group, I also was assigned the Americas infrastructure and services responsibilities with direct reports in the US and Mexico. In this role, I coordinated all infrastructure and services activities for ECC sites in the Americas to ensure robust operations and no downtime. For IT Audit and Compliance, I implemented procedures for local IT to maintain all activities in accordance with guidelines. I audited ECC sites and assessed their performance to the procedures that were implemented. I assisted sites preparing for upcoming audits and guided them through the audit process. In my present role, I am responsible for server administration at the Muncie site, delivery of IT services and support for Honeywell sites from Nebraska to New Mexico. And project management of regional and global IT projects.

Maxon is an industrial manufacturing company using the JDEdwards A7.3 World ERP system to run all aspects of the business. Maxon is a configured/make/engineered-to-order environment. The company makes complete use of the JDE Configurator. Maxon developed a finite scheduling module tied into JDE that schedules the factory floor accounting for material and capacity constraints.As the Systems Programmer, I supported all aspects of the JDE system and interfaced with all of the departments acting in the full range of responsibilities from programmer to business analyst to project manager. Projects during this time included Y2K retrofitting, the launch of the Shanghai factory, inventory, planning, and scheduling modifications. These changes improved compatibility with our highly modified JDEdwards and decreased the number of orders requiring direct touch by a planner. Modifications to JDEdwards MRP, forecasting, and planning systems during 2000-2001 resulted in a $1M decrease in inventory even during a period of declining sales. Once established, I provided all JDEdwards support for the Shanghai operations in addition to Muncie.In 2002, I was promoted to Business Systems Manager. This position included responsibilities for application development of JDEdwards, all network operations, telephony, and server infrastructure. The role extended beyond the Muncie operations. I coordinated major IT activities with our European IT operations and signed off on all Shanghai IT changes and direction. Key projects during this time included replacing the AS/400 720 with a new AS/400 550 model, a conversion from a traditional PBX to VoIP, conversion to VMWare, and additional enhancements to JDEdwards.
