Having spent over 10 years in the world of accountancy, I am now in a role supporting up-and-coming accountants on their journeys towards their own qualifications.I am a graduate of the University of Sheffield where I studied a Mathematics degree, before starting my career in accountancy shortly after graduating. I then progressed up to a management role before deciding to make a change in direction and take on a tutoring role while staying within the accountancy field. Since then, I have progressed into a role within the Apprenticeship team as a Skills and Development Coach, focusing primarily on supporting learners past the final hurdle in their path; the End Point Assessment.Outside of work, my main passion has to be sport – I’m a very competitive person so I’m willing to give any sport a go! The main one that I’m involved in is Ice Hockey, where I’ve played in goal for a local team for many years now, as well as assisting as a goaltending coach for a university team. I also play a lot of badminton, and also love going along to both comedy shows and music gigs whenever I can!
