I managed the front end and cashiers alongside my boss sometimes but other times I had to keep things moving smoothly at the front end of the store to keep customers happy and out of the store as quick as possible by myself. I dealt with thousands of dollars daily so I learned pretty good money handling skills, as well as gained some management experience at only 18 years old. Customer service was also a constant skill being used because we have to cash out every customer before they leave. I gained relationships with some of the restaurant owners because of my good customer service.

I often had to help fit people for their hockey equipment as well as recommended what kind of equipment they should purchase. I also perfected skate sharpening here which I had never done before, I got so good at this that customers would often prefer me to sharpen their skates over my fellow employees.
