I was responsible for the technical delivery of complex integrations between SimplyWorkflow and client systems. I collaborated with technical and project teams across a range of functions, organisations and cultures in the utility and telecoms spaces, as well as guiding developers working in Ireland, Poland, and Asia. The clients I have worked with include Vodafone, Digicel, Scottish Power, and ESB Networks.• Spearheaded technical delivery of an integration between SimplyWorkflow and Digicel’s Ericsson BSS (Business Support System) node. Prepared specifications for the integration. Worked with the development team, the client IT team in Jamaica, and the Ericsson team in Guatemala, to drive the solution.• Guided development of multiple complex integrations with SimplyWorkflow to support roll out of Smart Metering in Scotland. Led the engagement with Scottish Power.• Developed and supported integration with SIRO, enabling Actavo to meet demanding KPIs for service delivery and management.

Galway

• General- Led the analysis of technical requirements for proposals and new projects. Wrote and managed proposals to national aviation authorities, aircraft manufacturers, and airlines. • ProjectWrote proposal for supply of an eExamination solution to Emirates Engineering, and subsequently led the project technically to on-site deployment.• Mobile- Led the development of a hybrid mobile app for use in aircrew flight testing.• Frontend (JavaScript) and Backend (Linux/MySQL/PHP) Development- Led final development of, and subsequently supported and maintained, an on-line exam application (GEMS Online) for release to customer.- Developed a pilot exam management application for the Irish Aviation Authority.• Java Development- Maintained a command line driven optical mark reader application.- Recreated the development environment for, and subsequently maintained, a competency management web application utilising JEE, Hibernate and Apache Tomcat.• Other Responsibilities- Led testing of ASTech’s flagship exam solution, GEMS. (Customers for this product include such demanding organisations as Lufthansa, Embraer, and SRTechnics.)- Provided first line support for GEMS Online from initial deployment through production go-live, and beyond. Provide first line support to customers for GEMS.- Maintained ASTech’s corporate domain, cloud servers, version control systems and communications infrastructure.- Mentored new employees• Other Achievements- Set up a new company website.- Standardised ASTech’s development environment.

• Backend Java Development – RNC (Radio Network Controller)- Added new functionality to the business logic layer of the 3G mobile phone Radio Network Controller. These components interacted with a layer implemented in C++ via proprietary Ericsson middleware. This work required an understanding of the telecoms domain as well as Java design ability.• Backend and Frontend Java Development – OSS (Operations Support System)- Worked to tight and frequently changing deadlines on RANOS, a large client-server Radio Network Management offering. (The client application was downloadable as an applet or a stand-alone application and communicated with the server via a CORBA interface.)- Re-factored the Network Explorer component of the above offering, and profiled it to reduce its memory consumption significantly.- Ensured that the behaviour of Swing components remained consistent across supported platforms (Windows and Sun Solaris UNIX).• Innovations Group- Implemented the interface between radio network elements and a prototype network management application. This was part of a feasibility study into moving Ericsson's Network Management application onto a platform utilizing parallel processors.

• Member of a small, focused team developing multimedia educational products.• Wrote interactive courses on topics such as MS SQL Server installation and Cisco router configuration.
