I outlined all requirements (metes and bounds descriptions, drilling results, natural gas geological data, etc.), developed the platform in-house, and populated the database with past/current acquisitions. The platform became current within six months, which provided data for future acquisitions (300+ in the first 2.5 years), and enhanced the value of subsequent divestitures two years later. Show less

I led the acquisition of renewable energy assets in the power and fuel sector.ACHIEVED IN THIS ROLEFUNDRAISING• I resolved to raise $15M in equity to convert a recently-acquired operating oil mixture refinery to one of the nation’s largest biodiesel plants, a first-of-its-kind in the industry project. I identified and established dozens of site tours, presentations, and follow-up discussions to complete the raise within just three months. Then, I negotiated and finalized $55M in debt capital within another 60 days, and the 100M gallon plant commenced construction. In addition, a waste byproduct of biodiesel was identified to build an onsite glycerin refinery, which was incorporated into the project’s budget and schedule.VENDOR SELECTION / NEGOTIATIONS• As part of the biodiesel plant’s construction, a fuels terminal for waterborne and over-the-road shipments was required, which necessitated 900K barrels of storage in multiple-size tanks. I completed the initial design and regulatory approvals and, despite a high demand for construction and a tank steel supply shortage, sourced 50% of the materials from the US and the rest from Asia. We negotiated a performance deal with a 3rd party to construct the tanks, designed and built all foundations in-house, and each tank was delivered and passed all inspections. This resulted in an approved air permit and the project’s successful completion. Show less

Upon opening a 20K sq. ft. facility, adoption was slow, and sales suffered. I persuaded the franchisor to enable a pivot to focus on the adult market. Within 15 days, I crafted marketing materials, created pricing, launched the campaign, and closed sales. Costs were reduced to $9M for the project’s scope, and we successfully won the account; this became a US-first for the company, capturing several subsequent customers.SERVICE / PRODUCT OPTIMIZATION / EXPANSION• I desired to expand into the complex petroleum, chemical and industrial-related contaminated sites market to balance revenue sources. This required enterprise-wide upgrades to equipment and competencies. Over 120 days, we upgraded technical capabilities in subsurface containment, contaminated groundwater treatment, and mobility of organic-based contaminants. I also identified skills to update, created the target market, and recruited the necessary resources. This effort enabled effective penetration into the space, which expanded by 5X over time, eventually rewarding the company with Fortune 500 opportunities. Show less

I was in charge of revenue generation, customer care, culture development, market strategy, competitive analysis, new technology/patent development, sourcing and training of an ELT, key project managers, HR, Accounting, Health & Safety leaders, and providing the only source of outside capital. I resolved to establish a high-performance culture amongst a workforce of diverse skills and backgrounds, so I created a survey and gathered feedback to develop and roll out the mission, vision, and values (“Lead the Nation in Customer Care”). I then defined and implemented a flat organizational operating structure to quickly identify HIPO talent capable of timely execution despite project and workload size. This model began to consistently attract and retain exceptional resources, grew revenue from $10M to $425M over three decades, and ENTACT remains the top remedial contractor in the worldACHIEVED IN THIS ROLEMARKET SHARE CAPTURE• I spearheaded an initiative to disrupt the embedded national contracting system by going directly to the customer. Within nine months, I identified a customer, led regulatory/engineering design, and created/presented the solution, which captured the customer. Then, we obtained regulatory approvals within a record four months, and the $4.8M project was contracted. ENTACT’s design/build model became the benchmark for the organization and enabled it to capture a market-leading position within the next 5-6 years. Show less

This approach adequately equipped personnel to thrive, and as organizational and financial reporting systems improved, this reduced costs and increased revenue; HIPO culture is still a critical value.PROFIT OPTIMIZATION• Lab processing time for sampling and analysis had slowed production rates for two years. In response, I completed H&S training for radioactive use within 30 days and deployed real-time heavy metal screening technology (X-Ray Diffraction), which provides ~95% accuracy in 3-5 minutes. The ability to remove hazardous waste without waiting on lab results has enabled a 20-30% increase in production rates, generating profit growth of 15-25% based on assignment.NEW MARKET PENETRATION• I discovered an opportunity to design remedial environmental solutions for the contaminated real estate development market. This involved planning a strategy over 25 days, which included identifying customers, prospecting, and building marketing materials. I then proposed initial solutions and designed proposals, then began to secure these first-of-their-kind projects. As a result, the company captured several more multi-billion-dollar engagements and became a national expert in this space. Show less
