I have always been passionate about the restaurant industry, both personally and professionally! For the past 41 years, I have provided tax, accounting, planning & consulting services to independent restaurateurs and their teams. From the small CPA firm I joined in 1981, through our firm's growth and merger with SS&G in 2013 and our combination with BDO USA in 2015, I led each firm's Chicagoland restaurant practice, in addition to my roles as managing partner and office managing partner, until my retirement from public accounting in 2018. With the restaurant industry continuing to face mounting challenges, restaurateurs - now more than ever - need to better plan and manage their costs and expenses, while continuing to to grow sales and their business. These needs, combined with my passion for the industry has propelled me to launch Foodie CPA, a consulting company whose sole purpose is to help independent restaurateurs manage, organize, grow, scale and sell their business.
