Nothing motivates me more than solving problems.Where are problems close-at-hand? Supply Chain.I discovered my passion for Supply Chain as an intern at IBM before going on to complete my BA Business Management Degree. Since then, I have spent the last 3 years at NXP Semiconductors, navigating the ongoing challenges presented by the Semiconductor Industry within the Automotive Sector. Joining this industry at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic and Global Semiconductor Shortage has taught me to overcome a wide range of challenges and forced me to utilise my creative, out-the-box thinking to solve complex issues.Although this presented a real challenge - there is no better time to learn about a Global Supply Chain than during a supply crisis!A question I often ask myself is what fuels my passion for Supply Chain? I'm unsure whether it is the drive to increase revenue, the desire to provide top customer service, the reward of exceeding KPI targets, or purely the opportunity to work with diverse, global teams to support and drive solutions and foster continuous Supply Chain improvement. What I can say for certain is working in Supply Chain presents infinite opportunities to create impact and see tangible results - something that will never get old.
