Responsible for the day-to-day leadership and operational execution adn P&L of this professional employer organization (outsourced HR company). As CFO, I was responsible for creating the financial infrastructure (management team, processes, etc.) to position the company for accelerated growth. Pride points from this experience include raising $14 million in private equity funding through multiple rounds, creating internal reporting procedures and tools for Board-level decision making and developing processes and procedures which resulted in successful outside audits.As President/COO, I was responsible for leading and integrating three acquisitions while we were experiencing phenomenal growth ( from $19 million to $47 million in annual revenue), and subsequently, I was responsible for restructuring the company during the recession (managed through a 22% reduction in operating expenses during ’08-’09). Pride points include retaining the culture of the organization as we doubled our size during a 12-month period, the honesty and candor in which we approached the downsizing of the organization, and the training and development of the managers on our team.I was also member of Board of Managers from 2005-2008.

Hired by the Founder (owner-physician) to run the day-to-day operations of a 7-site, 30-provider pediatric practice. While my tenure was short because the Founder wanted to return to running his company again, our separation was amicable, and we were able to accomplish a number of operational improvements including: improve cash collections by 30%, improved coding accuracy increasing revenues by 17%, implemented salary structures and grades, and repurchased the practice's assets from physician practice management company.

(Angel-funded startup) Responsible for identifying and implementing partner relationships to augment the company's product line.Led the marketing efforts of this web-based healthcare IT company to created brand awareness, generate leads, and position the company and products in the marketplace.

Responsible for leading this IPA-model PHO (physician-hospital organization). Worked with the 6 IPAs to negotiate PPO contracts with insurance companies. Negotiated the exit from multiple money-losing capitated contracts, while preserving the relationships with the physician partners.

Traveled 10 states to work with 100 hospital clients to realize the value of the company's marketing and planning information software. Responsible for managing the customer relationship, demonstrating value from the software and for securing the contract renewal.
