I founded The Corley Company in 2010 to focus on providing support to CEOs and other organizational leaders. This was the direct result of my experience being a President & COO of a midsized company and a nonprofit Board Chair. In those roles there were many times that I wished I had a trusted resource to give me advice, an experienced person to facilitate/lead critical projects when our team didn’t have the bandwidth, and someone who was interested in my professional growth and could challenge me. As a leader, as “the” leader, I learned that it can truly be “lonely at the top.” This is why I am building The Corley Company on my strengths, competencies, and areas of interest in order to grow and support organizational leaders.Over the past 12 years I have worked with hundreds of nonprofit funders and agencies to provide strategic support CEOs and boards. My transition to working exlusively with nonprofit organizations is a belief in mission-focused work.

As CFO, I was responsible for creating the financial infrastructure (management team, processes, etc.) to position the company for accelerated growth. Pride points from this experience include raising $14 million in private equity funding through multiple rounds, creating internal reporting procedures and tools for Board-level decision making and developing processes and procedures which resulted in successful outside audits.As President/COO, I was responsible for leading and integrating three acquisitions while we were experiencing phenomenal growth ( from $19 million to $47 million in annual revenue), and subsequently, I was responsible for restructuring the company during the recession (managed through a 22% reduction in operating expenses during ’08-’09). Pride points include retaining the culture of the organization as we doubled our size during a 12-month period, the honesty and candor in which we approached the downsizing of the organization, and the training and development of the managers on our team.I was also member of Board of Managers from 2005-2008.

While my tenure was short because the Founder wanted to return to running his company again, our separation was amicable, and we were able to accomplish a number of operational improvements including: improve cash collections by 30%, improved coding accuracy increasing revenues by 17%, implemented salary structures and grades, and repurchased the practice's assets from physician practice management company.
