I am a business trial attorney at national law firm Wilson Elser and focus my practice on the defense of complex commercial matters. My cases involve very significant litigation such as securities fraud, derivative actions, anti-trust and anticompetitive business practice claims, and trade secret litigation. I defend public and private corporations and their officers and directors before the SEC and in shareholder class actions. I also advise my clients on corporate governance measures and best business practices to contain litigation risk. Placing the highest premium on responsiveness, efficiency and innovative problem-solving, I have earned the trust and loyalty of a wide spectrum of clients. Apart from my daily practice, I have taught securities regulation as an adjunct professor of law at the University of San Diego and frequently lecture on securities litigation and corporate governance matters. Certified as an instructor by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, I have also taught trial skills to junior trial attorneys. Before my civilian practice, I spent six years prosecuting criminal cases and defending the Department of the Navy and the Secretary of the Navy in federal district courts and circuit courts of appeal. I retired from the Marine Corps Reserves as a Colonel with 30 years of service.
