As a public policy professional with over a decade of experience, I have successfully implemented impactful initiatives across state and Commonwealth governments. My expertise spans various portfolios: education, Traditional Owner agreements, multicultural affairs, environmental policy, emergency management reform, and transport. My ethos is centred on driving meaningful change through strategic leadership and collaboration. As a Principal Policy Analyst at the National Transport Commission, I lead critical legislative reform projects, focusing on the NTC’s new Heavy Vehicle National Law and the Safe Systems review of the Australian Driving Laws. My capability to navigate complex policy landscapes has been integral in advancing national reforms prioritising safety and efficiency.Previously, at the Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) in Victoria, I conceptualised, led and delivered the department’s first employment program for individuals of asylum seeker status. This involved collaborating with DPC's Office of General Counsel to amend the department's employment contract to allow applicants with temporary bridging visas to apply for gainful employment, changing how DPC recruits. In 2019, the Victorian Multicultural Commission submitted this initiative to Professor Peter Shergold at a federal inquiry into settlement outcomes for new arrivals, which identified it as a best practice policy across Australia.I am currently pursuing an MBA at Deakin University, specialising in management consulting to further enhance my skillset.
