I lead the legislative policy development of national accreditation and operator assurance under the newly proposed Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL). The NTC is drafting the HVNL through its broader legislative reform activity.

Led and delivered two significant procurements to support DELWP’s state-wide regional engagement activity, acquitting the department's responsibilities under the Royal Commission into National Natural Disaster Arrangements (also known as the Bushfires Royal Commission).Developed advanced project management resources to support the development of a Whole of Victorian Sector Ten-Year Bushfire Strategy.Developed Cabinet submissions to support the Minister during the Public Accounts and Estimates Committee (PAEC) hearings on bushfire related matters.

Project Managed the $5M Private Overhead Electric Line (POEL) Scheme to replace bare-wire powerlines in the highest bushfire-risk areas to reduce power-line bushfire ignitions across Victoria.Managed a project team and external consultants to successfully launch the POEL Scheme within deadline.

Responsible for project managing a complex work program under the Victorian Government’s $600M cladding rectification program.Led multiple projects, including overseeing project financials, governance, correspondence and providing high-level strategic advice for executives through submissions to the DELWP Secretary-led Project Control Board (PCB). Successfully brokered strategic relationships with external stakeholders, including the Victorian Building Authority, Cladding Safety Victoria, Department of Treasury and Finance and Department of Premier and Cabinet (DPC) to generate buy-in and endorse critical initiatives under the work program.

Led the management of projects concerning Traditional Owner (TO) settlement agreements and coordinated the implementation of DELWP commitments involving the State of Victoria, Traditional Owner Corporations and Land Owner Management Boards.Maintained strong working Government agencies and statutory entities. Policy management – developed policy options, contributed to Cabinet Submissions and advice relating to the TO Settlement Act 2010, Native Title Act 1993 and settlement agreements with TOCs.

Strategy and Operations – developed, maintained and communicated new strategy and operational frameworks.Developed DELWP Emergency Recovery strategy to address gaps in the department's service delivery. The strategy was adopted by DELWP's Director of Policy and Planning and Victoria’s Chief Fire Officer. Led a team to deliver a cross-portfolio report to DELWP 's four Ministers and the Senior Executive team during the 2019 bushfire season

I conceptualised and delivered the Department of Premier and Cabinet's first employment program (and employment) of a person seeking asylum. This initiative was later submitted before leading settlement expert Professor Peter Shergold at a Federal Government independent review into integration, employment and settlement outcomes for refugees and humanitarian entrants and was identified as best practice. Professor Shergold stated the Government needed "ninety-nine more programs like this one". The program changed the way DPC recruits by providing asylum seekers with access to apply to work at the Department. This initiative was delivered in consultation with the DPC People and Culture Division, the Office of the General Counsel and St Joseph's Flexible Learning Centre. It positively impacted workplace culture by tackling negative stereotypes and false perceptions of asylum seekers. The candidate, of Hazara heritage, from Afghanistan, remains at the department six years on as a full-time policy officer and has since been promoted. The experience was a learning opportunity not only for the candidate but equally for all staff involved. Led a significant procurement process to engage consultants to develop Victoria's first Multicultural Outcomes Framework, establishing quantitative baseline data measures to track and report on community outcomes for culturally diverse Victorian communities.Served as a Secretariat to the Multifaith Advisory Group (MAG) for the Victorian Multicultural Commission (VMC). The MAG is the state's peak advisory group comprised of faith leaders informing multifaith policy and outcomes. MAG responded to issues arising amongst diverse faith and multicultural communities, including Victoria's Voluntary Assisted Dying Act (2017). This group met directly with the Premier to debate the legislation, which I played an instrumental role in coordinating, briefing and securing.

Aboriginal Employment Unit: Working in a team of four to develop and deliver the next Statewide Aboriginal Employment Strategy for the Victorian public sector.

Contract management, funding and provision of quality assurance to publicly funded Vocational Education Training (VET). Provision of project support for the high profile Quality Blitz project. This role involved monitoring and coordinating audit and investigative activity, undertaken across more than 50 registered training providers, associated funds recovery and the preparation of regular progress reports to inform strategic and operational decision-making processes.
