I joined Mason Technology in 2021 as an Internal Sales Specialist with the Olympus Life Science & Industrial Division. I joined Mason Technology with over 3 years’ experience in similar customer service and sales roles. Passion and commitment to ensuring that our customers receive the highest standard of service is my driving force. Acting as an added layer of support for customers with urgent queries regarding delivers, installations, and instrument troubleshooting when a Technical Sales Consultant is unavailable is key to my role. By utilizing the communication skills, I have developed through previous roles, I am more than happy to jump on the phone or a video call to help identify solutions to any customer concerns.I am a graduate from Trinity College Dublin having achieved a 2-2 Honours B.A. in Microbiology. During my time as an undergraduate student I studied various topics such as virology, eukaryotic and prokaryotic molecular genetics, antibiotic and vaccine development, pathology and statistics. Practical lab work featured largely throughout my course which also consisted of a 9 week lab project on the action of Flo1 in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae for which I received a 2-1 grade.During the Summer of 2017 I held a student research placement in the Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital working for Dr. Susan Kennedy. I conducted research on the genetics of uveal melanoma among a cohort of Irish patients. I documented my work which has been published under the title "An insight into the molecular genetics of a uveal melanoma patient cohort." in the Journal of cancer research and clinical oncology with myself listed as joint first author alongside Susan Kennedy.
