At the end of my placement year when the new students had arrived and as recognition for the work I had put in over the year, I was provided with the opportunity to try a different role within the business. For me, the decision was easy and the opportunity to experience the Trading Team was one I jumped at.I spent four months working as the Sales Coordinator, working closely with the Trading/Managing Director, overseeing the Sales Team and their relevant Sales Supports, reporting upon the results and ensuring the smooth operation of the sales function. This opportunity provided a great chance for me to see a different side of the Pricecheck organisation which I thoroughly enjoyed and expressed my interest in continuing.I was delighted to accept an offer to return to Pricecheck following the completion of my degree in June 2017.

During my placement from University, I was privileged to be able to accept a position in the Finance department at Pricecheck | International Brand Partners. Throughout my time at Pricecheck I completed a wide range of daily, monthly and ad-hoc roles that have each expanded my knowledge from the theory taught at university, to a practical hands on experience that has developed my CV dramatically. Some of these tasks include creating sales orders and invoices, goods receiving and stock control all using a well known, professional accounts software, Sage. Other roles including producing monthly financial reports for the companies Directors and Sales Representatives, creating and submitting Sales and Purchase Intrastat, as well as recording EC Sales for HM Revenue and Customs.

From beginning working for Sports Direct International at just sixteen years old, I have progressed within the team to my position I now hold as one of the most senior members of CAST staff within the store.My role involves several aspects of running a large store from dealing directly with the customers on the shop floor, to taking delivery of stock, categorising the contents and ordering into the correct location. I also cash up the whole store at the end of the day.Due to beginning university at the beginning of September 2013 I now only work for the company during the university holidays at Christmas and throughout the summer.When I am there, I work as part of a large team across several departments to ensure the smooth running of the store but I also work alone at times operating a whole department without the presence of a manager or supervisor. I received recognition from Head Office for my work over the Christmas period 2012, receiving a bonus as gratitude. My role here involves aspects of up selling in which each transaction must be concluded with the addition of an accessory of the products purchased. Daily targets are assigned with weekly targets for the whole branch monitored closely.

I was moved within two shifts to the restaurant before again being advanced to the "front row" serving a one-to-one basis with key clients.After a few months I was moved once more being placed in the higher-class private boxes receiving the 'Take a Bow' award on two separate occasions for my outstanding service, commitment and attitude towards both the clients and the role.I thoroughly enjoyed my role here but due to the nature of the job (only having hours during match days and functions) I sadly and to seise my employment here.
