I help businesses and individuals ensure that insurance companies honor their commitments under insurance contracts and help policyholders enforce their rights under insurance policies. Since approximately, 2005, I have helped policyholders ensure that the insurance coverage and benefits they purchased are available to them when they need the insurance protection they purchased. I assist businesses and individuals in insurance recovery and insurance coverage claims and litigation under various types of insurance policies, including: • commercial and personal liability• director and officer liability• errors and omissions professional liability• property• life• disability• title insurance. I have helped many policyholders recover coverage and benefits under insurance policies they purchased after an insurance company initially denied or questioned a claim when first presented or the insurance company mishandled a claim. I am often called upon by other attorneys and their clients to represent the client as personal counsel in litigation when the insured is represented in litigation by an attorney hired by an insurance company and there is a conflict between the insurance company and the insured. I also assist insurance brokers and agents and financial advisors in regulatory proceedings before the Connecticut Insurance Department, Connecticut Banking Department and other regulatory agencies and organizations.I have practiced in the area of insurance law since 1993. After serving as a partner at larger law firms in Hartford, Connecticut, I chose to run a law firm with my fellow attorneys at O’Sullivan McCormack Jensen & Bliss, at which we handles sophisticated litigation matters similar to those for which I was responsible at the larger law firms. My colleagues and I are proud to represent businesses and individuals in complex litigation and regulatory matters, including all types of business litigation and disputes, product liability litigation, employment law and litigation, financial services and regulatory litigation. I am honored to have served in various leadership positions in bar associations and legal industry organizations, including former Chair of the Insurance Law Section of the Connecticut Bar Association and as an officer and director of the Hartford County Bar Association. I am also honored to have been selected as a fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America. Outside of work, I enjoy playing tennis, golf, biking, or kayaking, spending time with my family and attending Providence College basketball games.
