CCP Technologies Limited (ASX: CT1) specialises in the Internet of Things (IoT) product development and product management. Michael is a co-founder of this publicly listed Australian company which was transitioned from a small private company.In his role as an Executive Director and the company's CEO, Michael developed the strategic pathway for leveraging the company's in-house development capacity across IoT hardware design, firmware and software development. In collaboration with its hardware manufacture supply chain partners, CCP has become a unique turnkey IoT solutions provider to companies in Australia, the USA and Asia. CCP provides services across the entire product life-cycle process from concept to creation, and ongoing product management.In addition, CCP has built its own business-to-business hardware and software solution, providing customers with real-time critical control point monitoring. Monitoring control points such as temperature and energy consumption underpins food safety programs, helps drive efficiency and protects business reputation. The CCP solution is deployed to monitor, interpret and report the temperature and humidity of controlled environments in hospitals, scientific laboratories, grocery stores, food wholesale and retail facilities and major hotels. Customers include businesses of all sizes across Australia, Asia and the USA.

CCP empowers business to make better decisions through a low-cost sophisticated Internet of Things (IoT) monitoring solution that captures and interprets real-time critical control point information. The company's solution was based on a patented IoT system which aimed to make high quality critical control point monitoring affordable for all businesses. CCP established a development team in Bangalore, India to develop the solution hardware, firmware and software. The solution was marketed and sold through offices in Australia, the USA and Canada. In September 2016, the company was purchased by an Australian public company and transformed into CCP Technologies Ltd (ASX:CT1). Michael played a major role in these negotiations and the development of a new business plan under the new public company structure.

Engagements include Transfield Services Ltd and Angus Knight Group. Michael's primary roles included the management of projects to assist in the development of Community Action Plans and Workforce Development Strategies centred on remote regions of Australia under the Australian Government's Remote Jobs and Communities Program. Michael undertook on-site strategic community consultation with Local Councils, State Government agencies and other NGO's across remote regions in Queensland and the Northern Territory. This work underpinned the development of business plans and project management programs which were subsequently adopted by the Australian Government. In addition, he prepared feasibility studies and work programs to support a wide range of local community development projects which aimed to support the engagement of unemployed people and local businesses. These projects focused on upgrading existing community infrastructure including parks, community gardens, shopping centres, tourism resources and agriculture facilities.

Michael established Exago (which was subsequently renamed Cooltrax). With two decades of experience in cold chain management (as a principal of Pacific Seafood Management Consultancy Group), his involvement in related consultancies throughout the Asia Pacific region provided the business relationships, domain experience and market understanding for this business. His knowledge and experience guided the development of a unique wireless hardware infrastructure and a suite of web-based applications for the refrigerated transport sector. With active RF technology, mobile data network connectivity and internet-based tracking software, product temperatures are captured and reported in real- time while products are in-transit. Cooltrax operates in the Australian, New Zealand and US markets.

As a principal consultant, Michael undertook more than 70 consultancy projects throughout the Asia Pacific region including Australia, Singapore, Indonesia, China and the Philippines during his engagement at PSM. Projects included evaluation of aquaculture developments (for new or continued investment by financial institutions), full production system design (including pond, tank and sea-cage culture) for start-ups and expansions, HACCP assessments and supply chain analysis to improve supply chain performance (product quality, marketability and price), preparation and delivery of aquaculture training programs for private companies and government agencies, authoring of numerous publications relating to aquaculture operations and business. Clients included international private and public companies, State and Federal Government agencies (including AFFA and Aus Aid).He led a major project funded jointly by the Australian Aquaculture Industry and the Federal Department of Primary Industries to investigate impediments to seafood export to Japan which led to the concept of automated real-time temperature monitoring across the cold chain and the vision behind Cooltrax.

Seafood Technologies was a major supplier of seafood processing equipment to Australian seafood production and processing companies with distribution agencies including Afos Smokehouses (UK), Dynoplast (Norway), Pisces (USA), Norfo (Norway) and Ziegra Ice Machines (Germany).Michael's primary roles included business development, agency sales, consulting sales and building supplier relationships. He undertook consultancies to design and develop new equipment (such as automated feeding systems, processing lines, tank culture systems) for private and public Australian aquaculture companies. He managed the commercialisation, manufacture and on-farm implementation. He secured a $3 million Australian / New Zealand aid project for the fabrication and supply of purpose designed aluminium tuna bins for the Pacific Fishing Company (PAFCO) in Fiji. The project involved the design, costing, material sourcing and prefabrication in Australia, shipping to Suva for local assembly and on-shipping by barge to site in Levuka.
