From 1989 - 2003 I lived and worked in NYC in the Music Business. In 2007 I began to help work with families as a Grass Roots Advocate in Special Education and Autism. I am especially interested in Special Education Law and making sure children have the proper programs and tools so that they can grow up to become as independent and successful as possible. I served as a Parent Member on the Waiver Panel for the NY State 1115 Waiver as OPWDD changed their Medicaid for Developmental Disabilities system over to a Waiver System, I served on the Taconic DDSO Autism Advisory Board, I am a member of the Mid-Hudson Regional Affiliate of the New York State Special Education Task Force. Additionally, I served as the Chairperson of the Kingston City School District Special Education Parent Group. I am a credential New York State Family Peer Advocate, serve on the PULSES of the Mid-Hudson Valley Board of Directors and a member of Council of Parent Attorney’s and Advocates (COPAA).
