As a strong believer in energy sustainability, being part of a project like this has allowed me to apply my interests to a hands-on, international project. In this position, my responsibilities include the following:- Communicate professionally with industry professionals - Present and promote LUTW's mission statement, projects, and goals- Work with others to plan the project, complete grant applications, and organize events- Proudly represent students at the University of Calgary on international grounds- Contribute effort and time to ensure the success of the project while learning about Peruvian culture

To be more involved with my peers at the Univerisity of Calgary in the same engineering discipline, I joined the Events team, where my responsibilities include:- Help develop event plans to enhance the sense of community among engineering students- Organize and execute plans to host events- Working with a University of Calgary coordinator to develop a Peer Listening Program

Assisted in tasks such as- Created content such as Instagram Reels, advertisers, etc.- Used the 7FE Framework to plan a future program- Completed competitive analysis on Canadian and USA pet services- Researched current mental health care practices in the industry and gave creative solutions- Helped create a new UI/UX design for future platform using Canva and Figma

My interest in entrepreneurship and business started with the Company Program, hosted by Junior Achievement Southern Alberta. I worked in the finance team for a (mock) lip balm company called Eunoia, created by other like-minded students. - Learned about the journey of a business from start to finish, using entrepreneurial thinking- Kept track of cash flow, sales, and inventory using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets- Took part in trade shows and marketing events- Reached break-even point three weeks after production started- Achieved a net profit margin of 29.05% and an ROI of 53.87%- Donated 25% of net profit to Calgary Mental Health Association and 25% to JASA (our sponsor)
