She began working with the elderly and disabled 21 years ago and a Medicaid application specialist in New York. She moved on to work as the head Paralegal for a prominent law firm on Long Island where she helped clients with estate planning, asset protection, real estate transactions and Medicaid planning. She obtained a degree in Health Care Administration with the goal of being a nursing home administrator. She worked in a nursing home as the Director of Finance and Admissions.
