In my role as a Victim Advocate at Aid to Victims of Abuse (AVDA), I assist with crisis calls, facilitate support groups, and provide community education regarding the organization and its programs. In addition to providing bilingual services, I also create intake appointments, provide referrals to participants, and input data into the database.My passion for the criminal justice field stems from my academic and professional involvement in two non-profit organizations that advocate for the welfare of survivors of domestic abuse, sex-trafficking, and victim advocacy. I graduated with a Master's in Science for Criminal Justice from the University of Central Florida in Dec 2023, where I gained valuable knowledge and insights on the current issues and challenges facing the criminal justice system. I am eager to utilize my education, skills, and experience to make a meaningful contribution to the criminal justice system and society.
