The process includes, but is not limited to, new applications and provisional reviews for members of the Medical and Dental Staff and Independent Allied Health Professional Staff as defined by the Hospital’s Medical and Dental Staff Bylaws, and Rules and Regulations. Participates in JCAHO and NCQA site surveys in regards to the credentialing process. Develops and maintains organized, systematic data base to record credentialing statistics. Serves as WVUH liaison to Managed Care Organizations (MCO’s) in regards to performing delegated credentialing functions in accordance with contractual agreements. Implement and maintain data, statistical and demographic, used to generate accurate medical staff profiles, quality improvement indicators, hospital-specific delineated privilege forms, etc. on an on-going basis.
