My experience includes working with children of various ages and abilities. I enjoy creating a safe and nurturing environment for my students to grow as people. My passion for psychology grew in my undergraduate studies, leading me to pursue and complete my Master’s degree in Counseling in Educational Settings. I chose this area as I love helping others. I found myself always wanting to help other students with college and career planning, financial aid, college admissions, schedule building, along with individual and group counseling practices. As a counseling intern, I gained a plethora of hands-on assistance with my students. I was able to apply the counseling techniques learned in my graduate program in the everyday atmosphere of the institution in which I was a counselor. I spent a year and a half at the school and never wanted it to end. I was responsible for assisting students with course selections, preparing and registering for SAT and ACT testing, college searches and tours, college applications and acceptance processes, applying for financial aid assistance, among many other entities. I am motivated to continue my passion and turn it into a wonderful career.
