Although the site is not a member of the Texas Compact Waste Disposal Facility, successfully obtained permitting to dispose of site's waste. The cost savings for the site, based on avoiding the original alternative to store waste at site (storage cask design and purchase, pad design and storage, eventual remanipulation of waste at plant shutdown to transfer waste into a transportation cask, and escalation of disposal costs) is in the $10M range. With all other sites in the fleet now moving in this direction, this translates into a $90M saving for the corporation.*Core Spray Motor replacement: completed initial portion of project by working with engineering to produce a procurement specification to rewind motor. Motor was received ahead of time and this phase of the project was completed below budget.
