I currently teach two seventh grade classes, consisting of Nest students. I also work with a small group of seventh grade students to provide extra support in writing. Students are given both online tools as well as handouts to help them follow lessons. Students also have a break area where they go when they feel that they emotionally need a break before returning to the class for academic support and instruction. Students also receive both verbal and written feedback on all assignments. Students' work and performance dictates groupings daily to ensure that students are constantly assessed and is being helped in areas in need of support. Teacher also plans and use students' current reading level to plan small group instruction targeted towards literary areas in need of support.

I taught two 8th grade English classes, where both class consists of 35 students. My students consists of general education, English Language Learners and Students with Disabilities. My students has out performed other students in grades 6 to 8 with state test scores. My students learn to take ownership over their learning and explore multiple lenses, while actively using verbal and written feedback on how to improve. I have taught two 7th grade classes, consisting of Nest students, where I ensure that all of my students are understanding class lessons as well as feel supported and safe in the classroom.
