As a juvenile justice prevention program, Pace Center for Girls provides academic, social, and mental health services to girls and young women using gender-responsive, strengths-based, trauma-informed principles. • Designed and conducted program evaluations and research projects on social determinants of health for girls and young women nationally, regionally, and locally.• Established, developed, facilitated, and supported three separate community collaboratives grounded in data-driven and strategic decisions.• Built relationships with internal and external stakeholders.• Prepared reports, presentations, and research summaries tailored to the intended audience.• Presented research results and project initiatives to internal and external stakeholders from individual contributors to executive leadership.• Used Excel, Salesforce and Power BI to develop databases, track metrics, and create dashboards to simplify and present compliance and KPI measures.• Identified key population indicators using Results Based Accountability methods.• Created a “toolbox” of materials for internal and external partners focused on social determinants of health. • Maintained the mission of the organization and adhered to the organization’s vision, guiding principles and values to ensure girls and young women were at the center of all decisions.

Courses Taught:• Social Equity in Public Administration: Initial offering and development of special topic. Reviewed the need for and response by public administration to social movements and social inequities, explored the definitions of the self, the context of fairness, and different perspectives of social equity (e.g. gender, race, class, and LGBTQ+ communities, the environment, and transportation), identified tools that create equitable services (face-to-face graduate course managed through the CANVAS LMS).• Public Administration: Presented the traditional concepts in a concrete and relatable manner that included popular culture (Parks and Recreation), social media (a final project that visually detailed five encounters with public administration) and group work developing Congressional district maps. (face-to-face undergraduate course managed through the CANVAS LMS).• Human Resources for Public and Nonprofit Management: Examined the processes and procedures of modern human resource management in public and nonprofit organizations, emphasized the important role of public interest values, examined various models of human resource management, and presented appropriate strategies for effective organizational use and development of human resources (face-to-face graduate course managed through the CANVAS LMS).• Ethics in Public Service: Concepts explored include the moral self, discretion, accountability, rules and codes, professionalism, and the banality of evil (face-to-face graduate course managed through the CANVAS LMS). • Introduction to American Government: Broad overview of government in the United States: introduced major institutions and participants, considered various explanations of why our political system behaves as it does, and reviewed governmental response to major issues to illustrate both the power and limitations of our system of government (asynchronous, distance learning, CANVAS based undergraduate course).
