I work with amazing people to accomplish forest restoration, fuels reduction, post-fire recovery, multiple use recreation and other national forest uses across 230,000 acres of public land in the American River watershed.

I worked in partnership with National Forests, tribes, state agencies, non-profit and private organizations to identify and leverage opportunities that advance collaborative forest restoration throughout California, Hawaii, and the Pacific Islands.

As a member of the National Interagency Department of the Interior BAER Team, I provide plan coordination and environmental regulatory compliance review for proposed emergency stabilization and rehabilitation measures to protect life, property, and natural and cultural resources post-wildfire.

As Lead Resource Advisor and Fireline Qualified Resource Advisor, I work cooperatively with Incident Management Teams to protect natural and cultural resources during oil spill clean up, fire suppression repair, hazard tree abatement, and other emergencies.

I was an appointed voluntary member of the Planning Commission which reviews land development proposals, amendments to the Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Ordinances, and assists the Board of Commissioners in developing long-range land use plans for Klamath County.

I worked with thoughtful and innovative cattle ranchers, biologists, tribal members and others in the Upper Klamath Lake Watershed to restore stream and wetland habitat on privately owned working ranches to support local habitat priorities such as reducing irrigation demand and increasing stream flows. I was a member of the planning team charged with revising the long-range Fremont and Winema National Forest Land and Resource Management Plans. I was the Forest liaison to the Sprague Watershed Fire Learning Network (FLN), an interagency collaborative group led by The Nature Conservancy that developed vegetation and communication strategies to accelerate landscape-scale restoration of fire-adapted forests.

I managed the Klamath and Chiloquin Ranger Districts Planning Program to ensure timber harvest, grazing, recreation, habitat restoration, facilities maintenance and construction projects were compliant with environmental regulations.

I was a member of a social science research group and participated in several research projects related to the National Forest management and rural communities.

As an undergraduate, I held a variety of technician positions including: plant pathology/ecology research technician at the U.S. EPA (Corvallis, OR); wetland/hydrology research technician at Rocky Mountain National Park (Fort Collins, CO); and water rights technician at the WO-National Park Service (Fort Collins, CO).
