My personal fitness philosophy is to make exercise approachable and enjoyable by connecting with my clients and students and helping them to understand the why behind how we're training; empowering them through education and ownership of their journey towards better health and fitness.I am also a freelance writer who has experience writing for online health and fitness publications. I also have experience reviewing film, television and books. I am a creative person who is always looking for new challenges and writing opportunities! I've hosted my own podcast and love public speaking opportunities and utilizing my voice. Prior to my switch into the fitness industry, I spent seven years gaining experience in television advertising, where I have established a strong command of the industry landscape, and the commercial clearance process in particular. I quickly adapted to the ongoing changes within the industry and met any challenge I faced with head on, managing tight deadlines and multiple high-volume accounts at once.I have solid management experience, as established in my role at McCann Erickson and later Uplift Studios. I was promoted three times in five years and went from managing a staff of clearance coordinators to training and overseeing the Traffic department in the clearance process, as the two departments joined forces following the agency's restructuring in 2010. I graduated from The New School University with an MA in Media Studies and a certificate in Media Management.Specialties: My areas of expertise include my written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail and a commitment to learning and improving upon my skills. I deliver fast results and turnaround time on a tight deadline. I am also familiar with the social media landscape and am continuously conducting research in order to stay on top of the latest trends. I completed Master's level courses in media theory, production and management.
