• Senior volunteer leader of the alumni association who presides at all meetings of the alumni association and other meetings as required. The president shall have general charge of and control over the affairs of the alumni association and perform other duties as prescribed by the association, university administration, and system trustees and staff. • Elected by the alumni association members and reports to the Alumni Association. The president coordinates with the university President, the Office for Alumni Relations, and the Vice President for Advancement.• Communicate with the Office for Alumni Relations staff to facilitate association business.• Schedule and preside at board and executive committee meetings in accordance with the association by-laws.• Appoint chairs for standing and ad hoc committees.• Officially represent the alumni association at university and community events.• Ensure the association board creates annual strategic and tactical plans to guide the alumni association’s activities and programs.• Ensure officers and board directors maintain active member status and follow policies outlined by the UAHuntsville Alumni Association• Ensure timely submission of pertinent association university and association news, activities, and projects.• Deliver content for use in UAHuntsville’s print and electronic communications.

Create and foster employee engagement in electronic and print media. Editor of enterprise newsletter.

Manage all aspects of Enterprise Information including web-based solutions, collaborative environments, and corporate communication.
