About Mickey Wilson

I graduated from the Colorado School of Mines in 2011 with a BS in Engineering Physics and a minor from the McBride Honors Program of Public Affairs. I then worked on a research project to electrically characterize ZnO nanostructures with electron beam lithography. This led to my Master's of Engineering degree in materials science. Instead of pursuing a career in photovoltaics I chased a dream of professional athleticism in slacklining. I won 4 world championships, traveled the world, went on the Ellen Degeneres show but I've now decided to return to physics.The next chapter in my life and career is with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) in Golden, CO. I am focusing on thin film photovoltaic OPV and perovskite modules.
