In my role, I manage and execute the creative aspects of our communication strategies, leading the design and implementation of engaging content for both internal and external audiences. I streamline and enhance internal communication channels by developing and distributing newsletters, announcements, and other materials that foster a cohesive work environment. Working closely with our Director of Marketing, I curate all communications to ensure consistency and alignment with our overall strategy. Additionally, I assist in creating and disseminating external communications, including press releases, marketing campaigns, and social media content, effectively conveying our services, values, and initiatives to the wider community. In my role as an adjunct instructor for Amarillo College, I have provided both online and in-person instruction. The responsibilities of this role include developing course materials that are engaging and facilitate meaningful learning, facilitating in-class activities alongside lectures, evaluating student performance based on assessments, and being available to support my students to be as successful as they can be. In my role as an Academic Success Center Supervisor, I supervise the operations of two tutoring centers and lead a team of 20 professional tutors, peer tutors, and student workers. My duties as a supervisor include overseeing the budgets of both tutoring centers, managing the schedule of all personnel, managing the relationship between those employed within the center and our larger institution, and developing/maintaining innovative methods for student support. As a leader, my duties include offering guidance and support for my team members, identifying developmental needs, and developing/facilitating team training.

My position as an adjunct instructor focuses on facilitating online instruction for multiple sections of up to 35 students. The day-to-day responsibilities of my role as an instructor calls for me to create and expedite lectures over various aspects of Intercultural Communication, grade course assignments, utilize a wide array of online platforms and be in consistent communication with my students.Courses taught: Intercultural Communication, Fundamentals of Communication, Business and Professional Communication, Public Speaking

In my current position as an Assistant Course Director (ACD), I work alongside a Course Director and other ACD overseeing and supervising a team of 15-20 GPTIs. Within this position, it is my responsibility to conduct weekly meetings and to engage with my team consistently in order to ensure that they are set up for success in their own instructing pursuits. Macro level requirements for this position include creating semester-by-semester content schedules detailing the curriculum for 40-50 Public Speaking courses, training incoming GPTIs, and conducting mid-semester evaluations for new GPTIs.

As a GPTI for the course of Public Speaking (COMS 2300), my position focuses on facilitating classroom instruction for multiple sections of up to 25 students. The day to day functions of being a GPTI calls for me to create and expedite lectures over various aspects of public speaking, grading speeches and course assignments, utilizing a wide array of online platforms, and being in consistent communication with my students.

As a Master Tutor at the TECHniques Center, I served as a mentor and guide for a team of 8-10 tutors. I conducted observations and critically evaluated level one CRLA tutors. A part of my duties as a Master Tutor was to take the lead on brainstorming fundraisers and special events throughout the semester and to conduct monthly tutor training sessions with a team. As a tutor at the TECHniques center, my position primarily focused on working alongside neurodivergent students. Day to day, I would assist my students with their course work, creating consistent and manageable schedules, and aided them in their pursuit for student success. This position called for me to not only be well versed in a myriad of course related content, but to become knowledgable about how to most effectively work alongside students with learning disabilities, such as Dyslexia and Dysgraphia, as well as students with Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder. During my time as a tutor, I was also able to become certified through the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA) levels 1-3.
