Software Development Project Manager
Current- Own and drive the life cycle of a software development (SDLC) project from high level concept design to operational delivery based on the Scrum framework- Assist clients with and/or drive the management of product requirements (product backlog) and project decisions based on their goals- Collaborate with designers, developers, and testers to get features released to production environment and drive problem resolution- Develop and deliver proposals, requirements documentation… Show more - Own and drive the life cycle of a software development (SDLC) project from high level concept design to operational delivery based on the Scrum framework- Assist clients with and/or drive the management of product requirements (product backlog) and project decisions based on their goals- Collaborate with designers, developers, and testers to get features released to production environment and drive problem resolution- Develop and deliver proposals, requirements documentation, progress reports, and presentations- Effectively manage trade-offs between cost and schedule versus business benefit- Manage resource utilization based on priorities, project scope, client budget, client timeline and team capacity. Ensure all project deliverables are achievable according to the team’s commitment based on task estimates- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders- Plan project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools and coordinate with the appropriate individuals- Track project milestones and deliverables- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans - Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project and the team- Practice an understanding of Agile and Scrum- Work towards the continuous improvement of the product by identifying problematic areas, suggesting refinements, facilitating feedback from the team, the client and stakeholders, and capturing these details- Drive continuous improvement in team performance and project management processes- Monitor team members’ performance and provide or prompt coaching when necessary- Assist hiring activities including screen resumes, interview candidates and make hire/fire decisions-Perform administrative tasks related to team management (time-off requests, performance feedback) Show less
