Knowledge of the use of Fasteners and Fixings across a wide range of industries, from construction to aerospace.I have worked in the fastener industry since 1988, and as a branch manager since 1993. Over that period as a branch manager, I have guided the turnover of my branch from £280,000 per year to in excess of £6 million pounds per year, with £4 million of that in fastener and fixings sales, and £2 million of that in construction.Competent in all aspects of the business. Specialist knowledge of fasteners and fixings, and brands such as Lindapter, Rawlplug, Fischer and Evolution drill screws. Experienced in dealing with a wide range of industries including Construction & Structural, Aerospace & Engineering and I have implemented a number of "Kanban" systems over the years including barcoding. I have also developed a good working knowledge of the flame cut , plasma and laser profiling trade and also the bright mild steel and non ferrous material trade. Purchasing, quality, technical, sales, logistics and operations are all skills that I have learned over the past 27 years. I am comfortable in front of customers and suppliers alike, and enjoy being in control of the whole process, to ensure that delivery targets are met. Over time, I have built up my own network of suppliers who enable us to competitively quote on both price and lead times. I consider my clients to be my friends and someone they can rely on to ensure that promises are kept and I will do my utmost to assist them with any problems they may have. I regularly visit customers and I am able to converse with all levels up to Owner/Director level. I have the ability to work autonomously and I am self motivating.
