Ballard Manufacturing was acquired by PetIQ in 2018 where I’ve continued to serve as Director Quality Assurance / SQF Practitioner for the Springville, Utah location and maintaining the level of excellence that is needed to be successful.

I was invited to the team in 1996 to aid in resolving quality and efficiency needs for the company at the time. Due to my background in Natural Science I was quickly placed in numerous roles to include Product Development, Manufacturing Development, Inventory Control, and Facility Management. This afforded me the opportunity to maintain a key role among the company’s Senior Management and collaborate in the future shaping of the company. Lead the company to achieving their first SQF Level 2 (Food Safety) certification in 2015 and have been successful in maintaining an Excellent rating for the past six years to include unannounced audits. My role in quality, with the collaboration of all our teams, has helped to elevate the company to where it is today. My experience has also allowed me to develop critical systems that maintain food safety and quality. This includes the development of multiple HACCP programs, the vast majority of the company's SOP’s, Policy’s, instructions, and support programs. This has translated into a strong auditing experience both internal and external and to lead multiple audits per year ranging from SQF (third party), customer audits (second party), and supplier audits. Additionally, I’ve spent the past twelve years involved in product label review against AAFCO standards, product registration, and international support.
