Responsible for design and engineering activity of door trim panels, hard trim, and overhead systems for several vehicle programs from initial design studio theme through volume production launch.Key Achievements:•Interfaced with design office and engineering representatives of another OEM in Europe to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of design theme.•Directed suppliers and worked with other internal corporate groups to meet established program deliverables for functional objectives, timing, and cost.•Designed head impact and side impact countermeasures for Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) compliance and performed post-test analysis to determine energy absorption effectiveness.•Developed packaging of air curtain advanced safety restraint system and verified design through system-level testing.

Engineering responsible for seating system frames, restraints, lumbar systems, electrical components, foam and trim components.Key Achievements:•Designed assembly aides and determined tooling direction in manufacturing environments to ensure final product quality.•Facilitated introduction of a new supplier for lumbar systems into the company and the OEM.
