Responsibility for providing technical leadership to our Global External Supply Chain Network. This includes partnering with suppliers on investment strategies to drive innovation and business growth. Also collaborated with the GMI Global Sourcing team to evaluate the capability of new suppliers and drive productivity with existing partners.

Responsibility for leading complex and transformational engineering initiatives in the global supply chain through process leadership and program management. Provided overall Engineering leadership for a program which was the closure of a plant location which had many undefined elements in the early stages of the initiative. This $176MM capital restructuring program included 9 locations and 3 operating units. All locations were under their authorized budget and demonstrated the ability to achieve target rates with no business interruptions.

Responsibility for leading the early management and capital investment strategies for the Big G cereal platform. This includes managing the capital plan of over $100 million annually guiding the investment strategy with the corporate business team. Responsibility for leading cereal platform capacity analysis, deploying innovative technology, and the launch of new products. Provided oversight to adding over 100 million lbs of cereal capacity to the network working closely with corporate team and all impacted manufacturing locations. Also provide oversight to all cereal manufacturing locations leveraging early management principles and directing their capital investment strategy.

• Site responsibility for engineering and maintenance teams across two divisions which included dough and yogurt platforms. Participated in the successful startup of the new Yoplait yogurt facility in 2005. Directly managed technical staff of 24 team members with responsibility for 150 employees. Responsibility for prioritizing and executing capital plan of $25 million annually which included cost saving initiatives of more than $5MM. Provided leadership for integration of General Mills and Pillsbury after merger leveraging best practices, continuous improvement tools, and strengthening the technical community.

Site responsibility for engineering team across two divisions which included cereal production and milling operations. Managed technical staff of 15 team members and provided leadership for executing capital plan of $7 million annually. Lead efforts to deliver over $1 million in annual plant savings focused on reducing ingredient losses and improving system performance. Developed strategic plan for additional capacity by debottlenecking equipment on several cereal systems and successfully executed several phases. Successfully lead negotiations for new electricity agreements with National Grid and the New York Power Authority allowing the continuation of cogeneration on site.

Managed engineering and maintenance teams in a high performance work environment producing beverages utilizing aseptic technology. Responsibilities included capital project execution, preventative maintenance programs, environmental compliance, and managing the storeroom operations. Provided leadership for upgrading the maintenance management system and generated over $2 million in productivity by increasing line performance and reducing packaging materials.

Managed operators and mechanics at the James Ford Bell Technical Center Pilot Plant. Worked closely with R&D to test new product concepts for several platforms including cereal, fruits snacks, yogurt, and snack bars. Responsibility for coordinating trials, scheduling personnel, and leading sanitation crew at the end of production runs. Also provided training, performance reviews, and individual development plans for team members.

Responsibility for supporting environmental programs including air permitting, hazardous waste management, wastewater effluent, and storm water pollution prevention plans for North American plant operations. Lead efforts to staff and train environmental professionals at cereal manufacturing plant locations. Managed and executed capital projects focusing on facility upgrades including dust collection systems and wastewater filtration.
