During this period Mike ran his own business managing stock market investments as well as investing in several property projects including the construction of a townhouse complex in St Lucia, Brisbane.

Mike owned and managed a large Horticultural operation in Zimbabwe which was involved in the export of roses to Europe . At the same time he was a Director of three listed companies involved in Agriculture, Property development and Consumables. He also served on the audit committeesof these companies.

While working with Delta Corporation, a listed company in Zimbabwe, with interests in beverages,consumables and the Agro Industrial sectors, Mike fulfilled the roles of Financial Manager and later Group Treasurer. Both these roles carried responsibilities and accountability to ensure that all regulatory requirements were met.

Early training and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
