I started at Poet biorefinery back in 2011. I moved up the ranks from janitor and worked my way into the control room as a tech 1, learned all the processes and was promoted to tech 2. During my time in the control room i obtained the required time and hours on our high pressure boilers and achieved another promotion as a stationary steam operator.I left Poet in 2018 and went out of my comfort zone to Husky Lima refinery in lima ohio and was placed on the coker unit as a operator/ coke cutter. I learned various things there and was also part of emergency response team. After about 3 years I made the decision to go back to Poet based on my family and came back as a stationary steam engineer in October of 2021After about 3 months I recieved another promotion as Operations supervisor and I have been growing everyday as a leader within Poet Fostoria.
