Honoka’a Chocolate Co. carefully handcrafts bean-to-bar chocolate from our picturesque farm on the Hamakua Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Our small-batch chocolate’s dynamic flavor profiles come from the distinct climate, terrain and soil – the “terroir” - only found in Hawai’i. The state of Hawai'i is the only place in the United States where cacao grows fruitfully, some calling it the "North Pole" of the cacao growing region. All of our chocolates are made from impeccable ingredients, free of gluten, emulsifiers, stabilizers, soy and GMOs.Mike is the founder, cacao farmer, chocolate maker, and farm tour guide at our farm on the Big Island of Hawaii where we grow both cacao and other exotic tropical fruits. He makes all of the chocolate using Hawaii grown cacao beans as well as imported beans from around the world in order to provide a worldly tasting experience for our farm tours and chocolate tastings. Just like wine, cacao has terroir. We sell state-wide in select retailers and online, and we can ship anywhere in the United States.
