I began my career as a "gopher" in charge of stick sets and printing back in 1985 at Steve Dunn & Partners, an MEP consulting firm in Dallas. I worked my way up to draftsman and drew a lot of ductwork and plumbing in the building boom of the mid-80's. Great experience that I still value today!After graduating from UTA, I began working at HKS, Inc. in their production department. It was good experience right out of school, but I wanted exposure to the "nuts and bolts" of construction.In 1993 I took a job at MMBC where I had the opportunity to be an On-Site Owner's Construction Representative in charge of day to day construction administration duties. I would move to a town and office out of a job-site trailer from beginning to end of construction. I lived in Victoria, TX; Pottsville, PA and Portland, ME. I consider myself incredibly lucky to have had this experience early in my career!After my work in the field, I transitioned back into corporate architecture at Corgan Associates, Inc. in 1999. The relationships and projects I built during my 15 years at Corgan I will always cherish.In 2014 I decided to make a career change into government administration as Senior Plans Examiner for the City of McKinney. I'm excited to be working in the public realm and look forward to serving the citizens of McKinney for many years to come!
