Initially assigned to patrol as a sergeant and supervised a squad of approximately 6 officers who were dedicated to street patrol, enforcement. At times was responsible for shift Platoon of approximately 22 officers covering the entire district.. I was responsible for the staffing of the shift and supervision of the officers.Transferred to a plainclothes operation team where I supervise a squad of 6 detectives with focus on guns, violent crimes, and extraction of violent felons from the community. To that end, we utilize various types of physical and electronic surveillance to successfully target these violent felons, their organizations, and their co-conspirators.In addition to daily duties, I am also a squad leader in a Mobile Field Force platoon (mobile civil disturbance team for arrests, crowd control, rescue, utilizing various formations and less lethal weaponry.)

2001-2003 I was assigned to CID narcotics, district DEU (drug enforcement unit). In 2003, I was assigned to the Office of the Police Commissioner, Criminal Intelligence Section. While there, I conducted investigations into Organized Crime and Street Gangs. Temporarily detailed to HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Act) as part of an Organized Crime investigation that netted several arrests and convictions in State and Federal courts.
